Accepting these terms
By installing the agent, signing in to the console, or routing telemetry to a Meridian endpoint, your workspace agrees to these terms. If you are signing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company. If you do not agree, do not deploy the agent.
Your account
You are responsible for the credentials your team uses to reach Meridian — workspace tokens, OTLP keys, and console sessions. Tokens are scoped to a workspace; treat them like any other production secret. Notify us at security@meridian.systems within 72 hours of suspected compromise.
You must be at least 16 years old to hold a Meridian account. Each member should be a real human; service accounts route through the API, not the console.
Your data
Your telemetry stays yours. We claim no ownership over the traces, metrics, logs, or post-mortem text your team generates. You grant us a limited license — bounded to the workspace and the term of your subscription — to store, process, index, and render that data back to your team across the console, the SLO engine, and the dispatch generator.
That license ends when you delete the workspace or the data. We do not retain a parallel copy.
Acceptable use
Meridian is a telemetry pipeline for legitimate engineering work. You may not use it to store or transmit unlawful content, route data your jurisdiction prohibits you from exporting, attempt to reach another workspace's data, reverse-engineer the agent, or saturate the ingest with traffic intended to degrade the service.
We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate workspaces that materially violate this clause. We will tell you what happened and why.
Subscriptions, billing, refunds
Meridian is offered on monthly and annual plans. Charges renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. Workspace owners can downgrade, pause, or cancel from the console — access continues until the end of the paid period.
If something is broken on our end, write to billing@meridian.systems within 14 days and we will refund the affected period. Refunds for usage already consumed are at our discretion and we treat that discretion generously.
Service availability
We target 99.9% monthly availability for ingest and 99.5% for the console. The current month's status is at status.meridian.systems. We schedule maintenance during low-traffic windows where possible and post advance notice in the console.
Some interruptions — third-party outages, regional incidents, security responses — are outside our control. We will tell you what happened, when, and what we changed afterwards.
Intellectual property
The Meridian name, the agent code, the console UI, the dispatch templates, and the documentation are ours. You may not copy, redistribute, or build a competing product on top of them. You keep ownership of any feedback you send us, but you grant us a non-exclusive license to act on it without owing you anything in return.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided as is. Within the limits the law allows, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — lost revenue, lost data, missed alerts on third-party systems.
Our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Termination
You may close your workspace at any time. We may suspend access for non-payment, security incidents, or material violations of the acceptable use clause — with notice where the situation allows it. On termination, your data is removed in line with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We update these terms when the service changes. Material changes get notified to workspace owners by email and posted in the console at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes are resolved in the state and federal courts of San Francisco County. If you contract with us through our European entity, the laws of Ireland apply and the courts of Dublin have jurisdiction.
